How to Use It

1) Open the demo at https://try.karakeep.com and take a look around. The login information is in the "Demo" section of the README, and your data won't be saved. 2) To use it yourself, install Docker (a tool that runs software as a package) and download the configuration file to a new folder. wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/karakeep-app/karakeep/main/docker/docker-compose.yml This command downloads the configuration file. 3) Add KARAKEEP_VERSION, NEXTAUTH_SECRET, MEILI_MASTER_KEY, and NEXTAUTH_URL to the .env file, run the command below to start the app, and then open http://localhost:3000. docker compose up -d This command runs the app in the background. AI tags are optional, and using an OpenAI API key incurs charges based on usage. You can also use Ollama (a model that runs on your computer).
