web-ui: The AI agent controls the browser on your behalf
TranslatedIt's a web interface tool that, when you give it instructions, performs web tasks on your behalf using the browser you're currently logged into.
3-Line Summary
1) It’s a tool where, when you give instructions on the web interface, an AI agent controls your browser for you. 2) Download the repository, run it with a single Docker command, and open it in your browser to use it. 3) You can use your browser’s existing login credentials and watch the AI in action via a VNC screen.

How to Use It
1) Download the repository, copy the .env.example file to .env, and enter the API key for the AI provider you’ll be using. 2) Install Docker (a tool that lets you run software as a package without installing it) and run the following command from the repository folder: docker compose up --build This command creates the interface and browser according to the repository’s configuration and runs them all at once. 3) Open http://localhost:7788 in your browser, enter your instructions, and watch the AI manipulate the browser at http://localhost:6080/vnc.html. Cloud models like OpenAI require an API key and are billed based on usage.

This is because `localhost` inside a Docker container refers to the container itself, not your computer." (Translation) https://github.com/browser-use/web-ui/issues/267#issuecomment-2725985078
Points to Note
Be careful with the "Use Own Browser" option, as it allows the AI to use a browser containing your login credentials. Make sure to handle payments and orders yourself. Since the default VNC password is listed in the README, it's safer to change it to the value specified in the `VNC_PASSWORD` variable in the `.env` file.
